Chief Smith has been serving in the volunteer fire service since 2007 and has experience in both municipal firefighting and industrial firefighting.
He currently holds a Bachelors in Fire Administration with an emphasis in Fire Investigation, an Associates in Fire Science, and an Associates in Criminal Justice. Furthermore, he holds a Master Firefighter certification from the State Firefighters and Fire Marshals' Association and additional certifications through the Texas Commission on Fire Protection.
